Bloom: At Alfea, where I pursue my studies as a fairy, I discovered little by little my true identity. I am the daughter of the king and queen of the planet Domino, that had been destroyed by Trix's ancestors. It was my older sister, the nymph Daphne, who saved me. She had found on Earth loving adoptive parents to whom she entrusted me to. Today, I possesse the formidable power of the Dragon's Flame, coveted by the forces of evil. I am the first line of defense to defend the magical dimension and its different planets. Fortunately I can count on my loyal and supportive friends: the Winx!*

Stella: From the planet Solaria, the fairy of the moon and the sun has a lot of confidence in herself. A little too much, sometimes! Even more, she puts too much importance on her appearance... Fortunately she is keen as she is funny.

Flora: Fairy of nature, gentle and generous, she listens to plants and she knows how to talk to them. This gets us out of a lot of bad situations! Too bad that she doesn't have enough confidence in herself.

Layla: Coming from the planet Andros, the fairy of sports** is particularly courageous. Last to join the Winx, she had trouble fitting into the group. Maybe because she is easily vexed. Nowadays, we can't imagine the group without her!

Tecna: Blunt and correct, she is a big help. Naturally, she is the fairy of sciences and inventions. Mastering all technologies, she adds a zeste of magic.

Musa: Orphaned, the fairy of music is very sensitive and full of imagination. In face of danger, her music becomes her weapon.


The Specialists:
Prince Sky is steady and honest. The heir to the kingdom of Eraklyon knows better than anyone how to create a team spirit in the guys. His love gives me confidence et helps to overcome the hardest of obstacles.

Brandon is also charming, dynamic and spontaneous. Not surprising that Stella fell for him.

Riven is learning to control his impulses and his pride. He sees life less negatively ever since Musa became interested in him.

Timmy is a clever young man who has a passion for technology. With Tecna, inevitably, they make a 180° turn. [Trans: This means they do a complete personality change when they're with each other.]

Helia is an artist full of sensibility. Flora cannot believe that such a man exists.


The Company of Light
Ms Faragonda***: Our headmistress is a celebrity in the magical dimension! She is always wise and courageous. Her advice is always a great help for us, the Winx.

The ironsmith Hagen: This brusque giant is in fact a big nolstagic. Since the disappearance of the Company of Light, he lives alone with the robots he created. He believes that my parents are dead but I'm sure that he will do all he can to help me...

The king Oritel and the queen Miriam of Domino: My parents that I love so much disappeared during a battle against the Ancestral Witches. I would love to embrace them again! I must be brave and strong as they were.

** I know that in general, Layla is the fairy of fluids/liquids/morphix. For some strange reason, the book states that she is the fairy of sports.
*** You and I are both curious as to whether or not Ms F is married. In the book, she is called 'Mme Faragonda.' Mme (madame) both mean Ms/miss (not married) or Mrs/misses (married). In spoken English, it is alright call a misses a miss so I kept it as 'miss' to give it a sense of vagueness.
