Bienvenue à Magix: Chapter 6: The fairies find out

When I regain consciousness, numb and in bad shape, my friends surround me, with wings on their back and magical outfits that I do not remember: tiaras, leotards and glittering boots. Our friendship had started in the same way that a friendship on Earth and I had almost forgotten that they were fairies, too!

Where are the witches and the giant? Did my friends fight them? As for the street, I do not recognize it at all...

Stella reassures me: I can relax, our enemies had been defeated. She tells me that my friends had suspected that I had a bad encounter. Looking for me in the streets of Magix, they had been guided by a spiral that risen out of the dead end.

Stella, Flora, Tecna and Musa had discovered me passed out in my block of ice; they came between the witches and me. Icy, Stormy and Darcy (I learn that that was what they are called) had ordered Knut to fight them. He threw himself at them, scary because of his strength and his ferocity. But quickly, my friends had transformed into fairies. Stella's ring had transformed into the magic scepter, thanks to this it had blocked Knut's attack. Flora had accelerated the growth of lianas* that had bound the ogre's legs. Musa had imprisoned him in a sound cage and volleyed decibels at him, until he preferred to disappear.

Furious at Knut's defeat, the witches had raged: Stormy had unleashed a storm and Icy a blizzard! Then Tecna had turned on her firewall to protect us. Before the witches had unleashed a new attack, we had been transported by Stella to a much calmer place, at the other end of the capital. Then she had melted the ice crystal that imprisoned me.

Now, Stella is bent over me. She warms me up with her magic and comforts me at the same time. I do not know which is more difficult to bear: the chill in my body or the shame of having been unable to defend myself against witches.

"You know, Bloom, for an Earthling, you really pulled through. You proved that you have a lot of courage."

Stella's words go straight to my heart. But Flora, Musa and Tecna are jolted. Discontented, they stare at the fairy of the moon and the sun.

"Stella!" Flora says. "You don't have something to tell us about Bloom of Callisto?"

Contrary to me, Stella does not look embarrassed to be caught in her flagrant lie. She promises to explain everything to them.
